Master of Foxhounds of Joint Master of Foxhounds
In charge of all hunting activities. All matters pertaining to the actual sport are subject to their direction.
The Board of Directors Manages the business and affairs of the Corporation. It consists of six board members and four officers.
Honorary Secretary Collects capping fees, maintains necessary records, and may be in charge of the hunt in the absence of the Masters.
The Huntsman Hunts the hounds in the field. He is also responsible for care, feeding and breeding of hounds, and for their training.
Whippers-In Assist the Huntsman in the control of the hounds. No one, except by request of the Huntsman or a Master, should accompany or attempt to assist a Whipper-In. The Road Whip assists by vehicle, and is responsible for watching the roads for game or hounds, warning traffic, searching for lost hounds and collecting any hounds that may become injured. All car followers must take direction from the Road Whip.
Fieldmaster Rides at the head of the Field and is responsible for the pace and conduct of the riders.
Field The Field is the group of people riding to hounds excluding staff. Riders are expected to adhere to the rules of good sportsmanship and to the rules of foxhunting etiquette and attire as directed by the Masters.
Hilltop Fieldmaster Leads the second Field and is responsible for the pace and conduct of the riders.
Hilltop Field Adheres to the same rules and customs as the first-flight Field, and is responsible to the Hilltop Fieldmaster. This Field consists of people who do not wish to jump the large obstacles or maintain the speed of the first flight Field throughout the day.

Subscribers
Subscribers are the persons who have been invited by the Masters to subscribe to the Tryon Hounds upon payment of annual subscription fees. There are several different classifications.
Family Subscribers A family subscription includes all members of a single family residing under one roof, all of whom are eligible to ride as a member of either Field during a hunt.
Senior Subscriber An individual who is 21 years of age of over and who is eligible to ride as a member of either Field during a hunt.
Junior Subscriber An individual who is under 21 years of age and who is eligible to ride as a member of either Field during a hunt. There is no capping fee for juniors to hunt; however, they must subscribe if they wish to earn colors.
Associate Subscriber An individual who has been invited to participate in the Hunt’s social events, and generally does not ride as a member of either Field.
Associate Subscriber Couple A couple, residing under one roof, who has been invited to participate in the Hunt’s social events, and generally does not ride as a member of either Field.
Both Associate Subscribers and Associate Couples are welcome to hunt with either Field three times a season on a capping fee basis.
Members Members are those subscribers who have been invited by the Masters to wear the hunt colors and buttons on formal hunting attire.
Professional Any individual who has a full-time position in, and whose major source of income derives from the equine industry as a barn manager, horse trainer, or riding instructor.
Honorary Subscriber Any person so designated by the Masters of the Hunt.
Certificate Holders Certificate holders are subscribers who have purchased membership certificates in the Tryon Hounds, Inc. They are eligible to vote at certificate holder’s meetings and elect the Board of Directors. Only certificate holders are eligible to become officers or directors of Tryon Hounds.
